COVID 19/SARS-COV2
COVID 19/SARS-COV2 is a world wide pandemic. The federal, state, and local governments and health agencies recommend social distancing, wearing face masks covering nose and mouth in dental and medical settings. Peter A Payne DMD has put in place comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. You are screened for symptoms when you make an appointment. Before you enter the office, we will take your temperature. ALL PATIENTS MUST WEAR A MASK COVERING THEIR MOUTH AND NOSE AT ALL TIMES UNLESS ASKED TO REMOVE IT BY A STAFF MEMBER FOR TREATMENT. Only one patient is admitted to the office at a time and is escorted to the treatment room to minimize patient-to-patient contact. The staff wears the best personal protective equipment to keep you and us safe. We have a Renew Aire energy recovery ventilation system with the latest air purification technology - HALO-LED Whole Home in Duct Air Purifier to kill viruses, bacteria, and mold in our 1500 SF office. The office air is continuously replaced with fresh purified, outside air that will kill infectious agents on contact in the office. Aerosols created during treatment are picked up by our DYNAIR extra oral suction machines, which purify the air with UV light and HEPA filters before it is returned to the treatment room. SAFETY FOR ALL IS OUR COMMITMENT!
In January 2021, Dr. Payne joined RIDMAT/MRC (Rhode Island Disaster Medical Assistance Team's Medical Reserve Corps). He volunteered to vaccinate physically and mentally disabled individuals and their caregivers at three vaccination clinics and a general public clinic in Woonsocket.
Dr. Payne and his staff have had both of their Moderna vaccine doses as of February 27, 2021. They were invited to be vaccinated by the state of Rhode Island as essential health care personnel.
